David’s Experience spans over twenty five years within the industry, having spent the last 18 years within Senior Management, Ten years of which has been with Shelford Heating, and instrumental in Creating a one stop Heating Company with the emphasis placed upon Reducing Carbon Emmisions and Improving Energy Savings in the Home David is Gas Safe Registered and OFTEC101/105/600 Qualified, Apprentice trained as a Plumbing and Heating Engineer Kerry Fowler – Services ManagerKerry joined the Company in late 2002, and is responsible for our procedures and to ensure they are followed, Kerry is responsible for Managing the Customer Service Advisors, whom in turn ensure that the Technician Deliver a First Class Service. Kerry over the years has learnt many aspects of the Business and is instrumental in many of our systems, procedures and also keeps an eye on David and is very much the second in command. Whether taking calls from Customers with a broken Boiler to calling or writing to our many customers to book the Annual Service. Kerry is here to help and will do all that she can to answer any queries you have, or assist with your concerns Roland Amey - Installation ManagerRoland is no stranger within the Plumbing and Heating Industry, having succesfully owned and managed his own business for many years, until he sold the Business a couple of years ago. Roland has the responsibility for managing all aspects of our Installation whether this is a New Bathroom, or a Boiler Change from inception right through to customer satisfaction and completion. Juliet Powell – Credit ControllerJuliet works part time, and is responsible for our Credit Control Issues, and administration of our purchase ledger she also assists Kerry, Louise and Jean when able, Jean Smith - Customer Services AdvisorJean's main role is to administer the processes after we have completed the service calls, this involves in the main invoicing, but she also assist the team in responding to client requests Whilst not technically minded, Jean will always try to give you the best service they can Ellie Trigg Installation CoordinatorEllie has extensive skills in relation to coordination of Installation Works associated with all our technologies. Ellie will also be responsible for developing our processes in relation to the Migrogeneration Certificate Scheme (MCS) Ellie has worked in our Industry for the past twenty years, working for likeminded and professional installation companies based in Cambridgeshire Jo Amey - Customer Service Supervisor Jo has extensive Customer Service experience having worked in the Heating and Service industry for 14 Years, and her main responsibility is the administration of our coordination of our Service and Repair Technicians as well as support to the Bathroom Installation Division. Jo has the ability to draw up designs and obtain Quotations from Suppliers and assist with the coordination of the works being completed. Service Technicians Nigel Easy - Senior Technician (Oil)Nigel prior to his return to Shelford Heating in 2006 after a short time away, had many years under his belt and we are pleased to once again having his presence and happy face amongst our team, Nigel like Jamie has identical Skill levels, and is certified to Service and Commision Oil Heating systems ensuring a safe and efficient operation. Nigel has recently completed his 5 year renewal of his OFTEC Certification to work on Oil Boilers Nigel is OFTEC 101/105/600 Qualified Ian Rankine -Technician (Oil)Ian has been with us for 6 Years, Ian initially worked for another Oil Distribution Company, but wanted the challenge of becoming a Service Engineer, so decided a number of years ago to retrain, Ian recently retook his 5 year reassesment to enable him to Service and Commision Oil Heating Systems and passed with ease. Ian is OFTEC 101/105/600 Qualified Jonathan Crick - Technician (Oil)Jonathon with a little longer service than Ian at 7 years, and also followed a similar path into the Industry , and has proved as with all our Oil Engineers that you never stop learning, and every day brings different challenges. Jonathon is Certified by OFTEC to service and commision Oil Fired Central Heating system, having recently passed his OFTEC Certification along with other members of the team Jonathan is OFTEC101/105/600 Qualified Garry Hall - Installer/Oil Service TechnicianGarry has been with us since January 2008, and is keen to further his career as a Service Technician. Gary recently completed his OFTEC Training at GRANT UK’s state of the art training centre in Devices in Wiltshire and we are pleased to say is now fully qualified to Service, Install and Commsion Oil Heating Systems. Garry's Skills and Knowledge within Installations of Heating Systems has certainly helped in his development in becoming a Service Technician Garry is OFTEC 101/105/600 Qualified Nigel Jolley - Senior Technician (Gas, LPG, Oil) Commercial and DomesticNigel has worked for the company since Early 2003, Having worked for a number of Local Plumbing and Heating Companies prior to this, and has extensive knowledge of Heating and Plumbing Systems having undertaken his City and Guilds over 40 years ago, Nigel is Certified by both Gas Safe and Oftec, and can Service, Maintain and Install Heating and Plumbing Systems. Nigel has recently undertaken his reassesment to work on Oil, Gas, LPG, and like others passed with flying colours. Nigel is also Registered to work on Commercial Gas Applications, including Commercial Catering Nigel is Gas Safe Registered and OFTEC 101/105/600 Qualified Nicholas Greasley - Senior Gas Technician (Gas, LPG) domestic and commercialNicholas has recently joined the Business and has extensive industry experience within the Gas and Oil market, and i qualified in both Domestic and Commercial Service and Maintenance. Nicholas is Gas Safe Registered and OFTEC approved Mark Rusted - Senior Gas and Electrical Technician/installer Mark joined the business in late 2009, and brings a wealth of knowledge - not only the Heating and Gas Industry, but with an Apprenticeship undertaken in Electrical Installations from the age of 16, and then further training within our Industry certainly gives us an all round ability and provides technical support within our business to other Technicians. Mark has recently undergone his Gas re-assesments and carries out all Gas, LPG Service, Maintenance and Installation to all types of Gas Appliances Mark is Gas Safe Registered and also the Responsible Technician for our Electrical works. Mark is Registered with ELECSA Electrical Scheme covering Full Scope Part P Electrical Robert Smith - Gas TechnicianRobert joined the Business in 2011, having gained many years of Experience working for British Gas, Robert is qualified to work on Gas Boilers, Pipework, Cookers, Gas Fires, Warm Air Heating and Gas Water Heaters. Robert is Gas Safe Registered Installation TechniciansChris Lawson -Senior Installer (Oil, Gas, LPG, Solar, Unvented, HeatPumps,)Chris has been instrumental in educating a number of Trainee apprentices, passing on the wealth of his knowledge , which like Nigel and Micks is extensive and in excess of 35 years, Chris has worked in all aspects of the business from doing tap washers and domestic heating installation, to installing Lead work and commercial heating and plumbing systems in to some of the most prestige home and colleges of Cambridge. Chris recently completed his re-assesment in his Gas and Oil Certification, so no more school for 5 Years. Chris is Gas Safe Registered and OFTEC Certified 101/105/600 Charlotte Bailey - Senior Apprentice Installer (Oil, Solar, Heatpumps)Charlotte has been with us since 2006, having spent a year on a college course for Plumbing and Heating, Charlotte has passed the first aspect of her NVQ training so is proud to have achieved a level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating, Charlotte is now engaged on a further 2 Year Training at Cambridge Regional College to achieve an NVQ level 3, and has recently passed the OFTEC 101/105e/600a Assesment to enable her to Install, service and commision Oil Heating Systems
We are very proud that Charlotte In October 2008 was a Winner in the OFTEC awards for excellence covering the UK, receiving the Trainee of the Year award. Charlotte also was placed runner up amongst 12 of the UK top Apprentices at a recent event organised with Cambridge Regional College in 2010
Well done charlotte and keep up the good work, only a few weeks left now in your apprenticship Charlotte is currently on Maternity Leave - Enjoy the Rest Sam Wilson Heating Installer (Oil, Solar, Heatpumps) Sam wilson a local 21 year who has decided he would like to train as Heating Engineer, and joined us at 16 Sam has completed his apprenticeship leading to a level 2 and 3 NVQ Qualification in Plumbing and Heating Samuel recently passed his OFTEC 101/105/600 and is now working towards his Gas ACS Qualification Dean Toseland - Heating Installer and Service Technician (Oil)Dean has undertaken his NVQ level 2 and 3 in Plumbing and Heating, having been trained by a well respected local Family Business, until he joined us through reccomendation during the summer months of 2009, Dean has fitted in well and has the same work ethic as the rest of the team... CUSTOMER CARE AND PRIDE Dean has recently passed his OFTEC 101/105/600 and like Sam will be looking at completing his Gas ACS Qualification Cedric Wilson - General Maintenance/Building works/HandypersonCedric Joined in October 2011, and assists our installation teams with any aspect of Building works, Cedric is a fully qualified carpenter and joiner with many years experience too numerous to mention Nick YexleyNick has recently Joined the Team, and is getting his feet under the table, Nick has come to us highly reccomended for his work ethic and people skills but above all his willingness to do his work to the best of his ability, Nick has skills in Bathroom Installations, along with general plumbing and heating and Service works, is skilled in Underfloor Heating Installation and Commisioning Luke DarcyLuke will be our seventh Apprentice employed since 2002. Luke will be undertaking his NVQ Level 2 training at Cambridge Regional College, Chris will be his tutor for the next few years, and we hope that Luke does as well as his colleagues before him.
